Being a system analyst and a programmer I am hopelessly bound to logic and common sense. Yet here we have it: Proverbs 3:5 NASB 5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart And do not lean on your own understanding. It does not say we should not lean on our misunderstandings.... that would go without saying. He is telling us to not lean on the things that we do understand. So even if you understood all there was to know about the scriptures, God, and spiritual things.... we are not to lean on that understanding. We are to have faith. Faith comes by revelation not by comprehension. It is tough for the those who have labored long and hard in the ancient languages and theology books to finally realize that it does you little good to know something in your head if you do not believe it in you heart. It seems to be even harder to accept that the poor illiterate mother with only a very limited knowledge of these things yet who trusts God is actually better off than the world renown theologian if he has no faith. It is kind of an equalizer. The ignorant pauper can achieve a greater place in the kingdom of God than the college professor. This is a hard truth for some to accept but there it is. Even tho I have achieved a level of academic and scholastic achievement, I have also had to learn not to depend on any of it. This is the way God has designed life and faith. Do not try and swim upstream dear friends. It is a losing battle. Get with the program as God has set it out. It works and it works well. Take care you do not get caught in with the crowd who become offended because of the way this works. The devil will temp you. The pride of life will snare you. But you have been given the means to overcome these things. This is the victory with which we overcome the world... even our faith. Not by power, or by might, or by the knowledge and wisdsom of this world, or by all the knowledge your have aquired. None of these things that you have done and acquired by your own efforts will stand. They will all burn up as dead wood. Only those things that spring forth from the work of God in Christ will stand. He has done it all, and in the end that is all that will stand. I pray for you dear brothers that you do not be overcome with the importance of soulish knowledge as if it had any power to save or deliver. Jesus, the cross, and the power of Christ in us is all that matters. It is painful to give up this dependance on sense knowledge.... but it is needful that we do.	PORN Death FIRE Logosystem
